ABOUT YOUR ADVISORS IN Algonquin
Kristy & Mark Malone
Certified Senior Advisors®
Mark and I live in Bloomingdale with our two children and have lived in Illinois all our lives. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends and are avid Chicago sports fans. We have always been active in our community. Mark was presented with the honor of Bloomingdale Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016 for his participation in working with the kids in our community for over a decade.I have spent most of my career in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant, working closely with patients and their insurance companies, and providing care and a compassionate ear when needed. Meanwhile, we both watched as Mark’s parents served as primary care facilitators for their loved ones and witnessing the struggles, they encountered along the way in finding the best care for them. We just knew there had to be an easier way. As an Oasis Senior Advisor, we now know that we can provide that easier way. Our service helps navigate through the that overwhelming and difficult process of finding the right dignified and comforting community for your loved ones.
Vicky Nicholson
Certified Senior Advisor®
I am a lifelong resident of the northern Chicago suburbs, raised in Deerfield and currently living in Libertyville with my husband and two teenagers. I love being active with my family which includes travel, bike riding, kayaking, and taking long walks in the beautiful forest preserves near us. I am also very active in my church and happily volunteer a lot there.
I’ve spent 30 years in marketing in a big corporate environment. It was satisfying for a long time, and I developed many skill sets, most importantly my ability to connect with people and provide guidance in complex situations. After witnessing the devastating effects of dementia with my father and then providing support and care for my mother as she declined and passed, I realized that working with the elderly in the effort to help improve quality of life was a passion and a calling of mine. I have observed friends and colleagues go through the stress and emotional trauma that one faces when they suddenly find themselves having to be the caregivers and decision makers for their parents. To me, Oasis Senior Advisors provides a win/win scenario for everyone involved by giving support to the ones who most need it, the seniors and their families, without charging for our services.
Gail Williams
Business Development/ Marketing
Shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin, Gail entered the healthcare industry. She started off as a pharmaceutical sales representative for several companies including Glaxo, Merck, and Astra-Zeneca. She was in that business for over 20 years calling on a multitude of physician specialties. When a family member became ill, she took on the job of caregiver. It was one of the most difficult yet gratifying jobs of her career.
Upon the passing of that family member, Gail was drawn again to the healthcare segment, however with a different perspective. This time it was her purpose to help individuals who are often faced with similar circumstances and not knowing how to navigate the healthcare system for a loved one. Gail has experience working in hospice, as a marketing director for supportive living, as a regional marketing director for nursing homes, and as a patient advocate for concierge physicians. This experience allows Gail to fully understand the process of housing placement for seniors and their families.
