ABOUT YOUR ADVISORS IN Algonquin
Kristy & Mark Malone
Mark and I live in Bloomingdale with our two children and have lived in Illinois all our lives. We enjoy spending time with our family and friends and are avid Chicago sports fans. We have always been active in our community. Mark was presented with the honor of Bloomingdale Volunteer of the Year Award in 2016 for his participation in working with the kids in our community for over a decade.
Certified Senior Advisors®
I have spent most of my career in the healthcare industry as a medical assistant, working closely with patients and their insurance companies, and providing care and a compassionate ear when needed. Meanwhile, we both watched as Mark’s parents served as primary care facilitators for their loved ones and witnessing the struggles, they encountered along the way in finding the best care for them. We just knew there had to be an easier way. As an Oasis Senior Advisor, we now know that we can provide that easier way. Our service helps navigate through the that overwhelming and difficult process of finding the right dignified and comforting community for your loved ones.

I am a lifelong resident of the northern Chicago suburbs, raised in Deerfield and currently living in Libertyville with my husband and two teenagers. I love being active with my family which includes travel, bike riding, kayaking, and taking long walks in the beautiful forest preserves near us. I am also very active in my church and happily volunteer a lot there.
I’ve spent 30 years in marketing in a big corporate environment. It was satisfying for a long time, and I developed many skill sets, most importantly my ability to connect with people and provide guidance in complex situations. After witnessing the devastating effects of dementia with my father and then providing support and care for my mother as she declined and passed, I realized that working with the elderly in the effort to help improve quality of life was a passion and a calling of mine. I have observed friends and colleagues go through the stress and emotional trauma that one faces when they suddenly find themselves having to be the caregivers and decision makers for their parents. To me, Oasis Senior Advisors provides a win/win scenario for everyone involved by giving support to the ones who most need it, the seniors and their families, without charging for our services.
Oasis Senior Advisor
I am a lifelong resident of Illinois, currently living in St. Charles. Raised in Buffalo Grove and Arlington Heights, my husband and I raised our two children in Carol Stream before moving to St. Charles. After receiving my degree in Physical Therapy at Marquette University, I worked at Elmhurst Hospital for 10 years. I then transitioned to home health and worked for Northwestern Home Health (previously CNS/Central DuPage Hospital Home Health) specializing in geriatric care. During my time with Northwestern Home Health, I provided Physical Therapy services to patients in their homes as well as those residing in Independent Living facilities, Assisted Living facilities and Memory Care communities. Additionally, I worked directly with Northwestern’s Preferred Providers as a liaison, spending a great deal of time in Skilled Nursing and Rehab facilities. More recently, I worked the last 4 years as a Family Ambassador in a Memory Care community assisting families moving their loved ones into our community. During that time, I witnessed the struggles many families endured trying to navigate through the confusing and overwhelming task of finding the best community for their loved ones. I had the opportunity to interact with Oasis Senior Advisors many times and witnessed firsthand, the tremendous advantages families had when being guided through this process with Kristy and Mark’s expertise and compassion. I feel truly honored to be joining the Oasis Team and assisting those looking to locate the best possible senior community for themselves or their loved ones.
