"My family and I found ourselves in the horrible predicament of not being to care for our 96 year old father at home. As a family we had been able to provide twenty four hour care until he began to fall frequently and rarely slept. We subsequently became caught in the system of health care and were totally unprepared. We didn't understand the jargon and the system itself is difficult for the average person to understand. After two horrific placements, we lost hope in giving our father a safe and comfortable place to live out his life. We began to think such a place didn't exist! A social worker suggested Oasis Senior Advisors. It was the best call I have ever made! Matt Gardner returned my call promptly and spent a significant amount of time in the evening listening to my father's situation, his background, his financial information, his current needs, and our expectations for him. By morning Matt had made appointments for three potential places. Matt met with us prior to the visits to outline the differences among the places and highlighted the benefits and possible drawbacks. "It would be difficult for me to imagine a service more tailored to what seemed to me a particularly complex situation--a friend with no reachable family fell one night in the house she inhabits alone (plus cats). Taken by ambulance to a hospital, initial diagnoses were dire. She was, however, released to a rehab center, where she improved noticeably but not enough to continue living in her house. The "team" we put together to negotiate with & for her luckily recommended Matt Gardiner to consider the best alternative living arrangements. He met with her and the team and arranged tours of assisted-living facilities he thought most responsive to her needs. All this without cost to the client. Within a day or two, agreements were made; we are currently helping with the actual transition. My friend is a very particular woman and said she wants to add some words about Matt: caring, competent, easy to work with, knowledgeable, convincing and clear in his descriptions and recommendations, dedicated to meeting the client's wishes.
