  "We were in a panic to find a last minute place for my 93 year old dad to live after having Covid and being very sick for months. The place he had been living would not accept him back there. We got a recommendation from the social worker and within a half hour Pat Williams called! She immediately started to work on what dad needed. Because of Covid he had gotten very weak and needed more levels of care. It wasn’t long and we had 8 facilities to go thru and possibly choose from.   "How do you help a loved one come to the perfect decision about her living situation when she is in Ohio and you are in North Carolina--and covid makes travel impossible? We--sister in California and cousin in New York--were fortunate to be connected with Cindy Paige, who outlined what we needed to think about to find the perfect place for my 99-year-old aunt. With the information we provided, Cindy outlined a budget and took us on virtual tours of three facilities that could meet our needs.   "I cannot speak highly enough of the work that Pat Williams did for my family. My mother had been working with Pat for well over a year and had basically given her the runaround. Touring assisted living facilities but never committing to moving into one. As my mother's health deteriorated I had to act and become her guardian. It was clear to me that living at home was no longer an option for my mom so my brother and I reached out to Pat to see if she would be willing to help us find the right assisted living facility for mom. We were a bit surprised when she said that she would since my mom had wasted a lot of her time. Almost immediately after re-engaging with Pat not only did my mom need to move out of her home right away but the Covid crisis had started. This shut down many assisted facilities from taking new residents. Fortunately for us Pat was able to navigate through these uncharted waters and was able to find a place for mom to go. While we were happy that mom was in an assisted facility we weren't sure that it was the right one. Pat kept reaching out to other facilities that we were interested in to get status updates on when they would be able to start taking new residents again. It took about 6 or 7 weeks but finally one of the places on our list re-opened to new residents and we just moved mom into it. This would never have happened without Pat's help and diligence. My mom was taken care of in a time of crisis and now we have found a facility that we think she will like to become her permanent new home.   "Pat Williams and Oasis was referred to me during my assisted living search for my mother and father. Mom was in the hospital again. Dad had been a caregiver for my mother for close to 10 years. Finally, after more than 5 years of resistance, he realized they had to give up their home. My father had fallen in the kitchen and laid there for hours before a relative rescued him., I had to take him to the hospital the same day my mother was discharged from the hospital to rehab.   "We had to move a friend out of his house because Vascular Dementia made it very unsafe for him to stay. After the doctor listened to the symptoms we were describing he said get him to the ER so they can do a "work up" on him and stabilize the health situation. We knew there was a big problem but had no clue he was in such dire shape. Luckily we had arranged for Durable Power of Attorney and could work to get him to assisted living.
