We take pride in the personal, compassionate service we provide to seniors and their families. Meet our Oasis team, your trusted partner for senior living and resources.
The majority of my life has been spent in Delaware. My husband and I chose to raise our son in Delaware because we wanted him to have a strong sense of family and the opportunity to really know his grandparents. My husband and I enjoy cooking, going for walks, watching movies, playing with our family dog and most of all, spending time with our son.
I spent the last 14 years working for a technology company. I worked in various aspects of the business where I was afforded the opportunity to learn many things. One of the goals I have for the next chapter in my life is to help people. A few years ago I helped my husband and his mother find the community that best fit her needs and personality. The process was challenging, stressful, and time consuming with no one to guide us. I have experienced firsthand how these challenges can impact families. I am now privileged to be able to provide guidance to our seniors and their families.
As an Oasis Senior Living Advisor, I will be allowed the opportunity to help meet a need that is currently lacking in our community. I will work closely with seniors and their families to help maintain the dignity and quality of life that seniors truly deserve. If you or a loved one are in need of guidance or insight to determine the best quality of life options, my mission is to be there, by your side, as a guide and resource during your transition.
I am a native Delawarean, so, you could say my roots are firmly planted here. Growing up there were three generations under one roof. I helped my mother care for my grandparents as they aged. In my later years, I cared for my mother. My husband and I live in my childhood home with my father. We enjoy going for motorcycle rides, boating, fishing, caring for our two favorite pups, and spending time with family and friends at our home away from home in Virginia.
I spent 30 years working in the banking and technology industries. Many of the roles I held had some aspect of customer service. I have always been one to look for ways to help others. After my corporate roles, I went on to follow my passion for animals and managed a doggy day care and boarding facility. Then our family was given the news that my father-in-law, who had dementia, was no longer safe at home alone. I promptly quit my job, we moved him to our home, and I became his full-time caregiver for 3.5 years. It had its challenges but was rewarding at the same time. Caregiving is not for everyone, and at some point, an extra level of care is necessary. Finding a community or additional resources for a loved one, as I learned firsthand, is a daunting task. You come to find that you have to put your personal wants aside and focus on your loved one.
A friend told me that this job and all that it entails was written specifically for me and I couldn’t agree more.
As an Oasis Senior Living Advisor, I can take my personal experience and the relationships that I have built in the community, to help other families facing the daunting task of finding the right place for their loved one a little less stressful.
After spending years in Las Vegas working in the geriatric care industry, I found myself in Delaware. Delaware is a tiny but mighty state with a strong sense of community, and it has been my mission to be a part of it by doing what I do best; Serving people with compassionate care when they need it most.
I have almost 20 years of experience in different realms of geriatric care including skilled nursing facilities, hospice, and home infusion. While all those scopes are so different, it has kept me with my passion of caring for the senior population. Being a caregiver and an advocate for seniors and their families, while making tough decisions is challenging but I lean into the task and use my previous experience in the industry to help guide families to the solutions they need.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, cooking, gardening, and living my life to the fullest taking on whatever adventures come my way. Working with seniors through the years, I have heard so many stories of the rich lives they lived full of love and adventure. My goal is to one day have a beautiful story to tell while helping make the world a better place
Originally from Georgia, I moved to Maryland’s Eastern Shore 7 years ago. Coming from the hospitality industry, I have always had a passion for helping others and creating lasting joyful memories. When I found myself in my first role in senior care at a small, assisted living in Salisbury, MD, it was a defining moment proving all things happen for a reason. My passion for senior care began there and has continued to grow.
From there I moved to another senior community in Berlin, MD., making some of my favorite memories of times spent with the residents and their families. I moved into a Hospice Liaison role to further my knowledge on the aging process and learned how to help families through a difficult transition. My work experiences and roles brought me in contact with the Oasis team. So, when the opportunity came to join them, I couldn’t think of a better way to serve my local community.
My husband and I live in Delmar, on the border of Maryland and Delaware, where we are raising our two beautiful children. When I am not working you can find me cheering at my children’s sporting events or happily crafting.
As an Oasis Senior Living Advisor, I utilize the skills I have developed over my years in the senior living industry to be a resource to clients and families. Presenting the best options and finding the right fit is vital to guiding seniors to attain their optimal quality of life.
