ABOUT YOUR ADVISORS IN FREDERICK
Senior Living Advisor
I have been a Frederick County resident for most of my life. I’m the second oldest of five children and being a full-blooded Italian, family is important to me. Being married for over 20 years to my high school sweetheart, we had the privilege to raise 3 amazing children, including a set of twins. Ad the twins enter their 2nd year of college, and our youngest son enters his sophomore year of high school, I found the desire to enter the professional field where my contributions will have a positive effect on our community. After working in a doctor’s office for ten years, I have decided to join Oasis Senior Advisors Frederick.
Being from a large family, I have had the opportunity to care of my grandparents and extended family members. However, I never saw first-hand the hard work that goes into being a healthcare professional. As my parents are aging and facing their own trials with health concerns, I have truly seen how important it is to have a professional advocate willing to not only help and care for them, but to navigate senior living options and healthcare resources during a time, of what is often, a crisis situation. Kriste helped my family navigate resources for support for my father. Knowing the work that she does and being able to appreciate it from a client’s perspective, I immediately knew that I wanted to join her efforts in supporting seniors and their families during challenging times. I feel incredibly blessed with the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of an under served population.

I am a native of Frederick, MD, and was primarily raised by my grandparents. As a child, I was my grandfather’s shadow. And through him, I learned the value of hard work, being trustworthy and dependable, and giving back to the community. As an adult, my role shifted, and I became the caregiver for my grandparents for over eleven years. My grandmother had Alzheimer’s disease and my grandfather had his own chronic conditions, which made caregiving challenging. My grandparents were my world, and this personal experience led me to my educational path of obtaining a master’s degree in thanatology (the study of aging, death, dying, grief and bereavement), and eventually to entering the geriatric healthcare field in 2012.
During my tenure with hospice and as an executive director of an assisted living community, I saw first-hand the difficulties seniors and their families faced when making healthcare decisions. I understood their concerns on a personal level. Professionally, I found that lending an ear, providing resources for support and helping them navigate through tough choices was more than just a job; it was my calling.
As an Oasis Senior Advisor, I continue my passion for supporting older adults and their families in the following areas: Frederick, Myersville, Washington County, Carroll County, Loudoun County and more. If you or a loved one are looking for the right senior housing community and may not know where to start or have questions, I can help. I will work with you to help meet your goals, reduce time and stress, and provide extensive information for you to make a well-informed decision about senior living options. Life transitions can be difficult, but with the right support, they can be a positive time by maintaining dignity and promoting quality of life.
