ABOUT YOUR ADVISORS IN Lincoln
Beth Friesen, BSN, RN, CSA, CDP, CADDCT
Certified Senior Advisor®
Thank you for your interest in Oasis Senior Advisors.
I have been a Registered Nurse since 1992. After gaining experience in both critical care and maternal/fetal medicine, I spent 21 years as a nurse case manager for industrial injuries. For almost nine of those years, I successfully owned and operated an independent consulting firm whose primary focus was medical case management services.
A culmination of events over the last decade has led me to this new path: Oasis Senior Advisors. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and passed away in 2014. I have stood where many of the people I hope to help are standing right now. I deeply desire to use my knowledge as a nurse, as well as the path I traveled with my mom, to help ease the stress that comes with this kind of transition. I look forward to walking with you and your loved ones as we find the next place for them to call home.
I have a particular passion for Alzheimer’s/Dementia education and elder care. I enjoy teaching, speaking and writing. My husband and I are lifelong Nebraska residents (Go Big Red!) and have three children currently in high school and college.
Tanya Godwin
Senior Advisor®
Born in Oklahoma and raised in Lincoln, I earned my BA in Human Relations from Doane College with a focus on communication, psychology and business management.
Prior to joining the Oasis Senior Advisors team, I served in various positions, allowing me to bring an elder law background and more than fifteen years of public policy experience to the Oasis table.
I joined Oasis Senior Advisors in the spring of 2017. Initially attracted to OSA’s core set of principles with honesty, confidentiality and belief in everyone’s right to dignity, I found my niche in the OSA mission to positively impact families
Offering my awareness of how the right kind of planning can support a senior who either desires to or needs to make decisions about their senior living, adds value to their search for Assisted Living, Independent Living, Memory Care or Skilled Nursing. I am able to come alongside the seniors as well as their family, bring to light any gaps in their plan and make sure they are connected with the appropriate professionals for further assistance.
Compassionate and dedicated to providing families and their loved ones with guidance and support during life’s transitions, I serve as a resource for those in need by offering an extensive knowledge of qualified senior living options in the Lincoln area as well as outlying communities.
When I am not wearing the Oasis Senior Advisors "cap," I enjoy my blessings by spending time with my husband, our five children and pup, Molly.
