"Oasis gave me hope! I felt overwhelmed and abandoned before I talked to an Oasis advisor. My uncle George, who has dementia and had been hospitalized for 10 weeks after an accident was rejected from two assisted living facilities, even though he had first been accepted. An on-site evaluator for the second facility worked with George’s doctors for two weeks to make sure the placement was appropriate. George was transported to the facility by ambulance. I met him there with my car packed full of his clothing and possessions. After 10 minutes, the facility changed their minds, told me they couldn’t keep him there and called another ambulance to transport him to a local hospital. I contacted the senior adviser from another well known agency I had been working with and she told me she couldn’t do any more for me. The system r eally let us down. I felt like I had done everything right, been open and honest with everyone and didn’t know where to turn. Thankfully a friend gave me a number for an Oasis advisor. From the first few minutes of our conversation, our advisor gave me hope and reassured me that she would find the appropriate placement for George. She listened to my story and immediately recommended several appropriate facilities. She coordinated all the contacts with me, the hospital case manager and the facility staff. Our advisor kept in contact with me every step of the way and paved the way for George to get accepted and transferred into the absolute perfect facility (Bellamy Fields, Dover, NH) for him. "I really don't know what we would have done without our Oasis advisor. The hospital called and said there was nothing else they could do for our 89 year old father and he had to be out in 24 hours, We had no place for him to go that would provide the care he needs with Parkinson's. The hospital case workers tried to place him, but were unable to locate a home for him. I started calling homes on my own and found the same thing as the case workers, that no beds were available. I had been given the name of our Oasis advisor, and decided we could not do this on our own. I called Oasis in a panic, she said we'll find a place for him, don't worry. She said to give her one hour and she would call me back. True to her word, she called and had found a wonderful place for our dad. He was moved there the following day. Our Oasis advisor was extremely responsive, and kept in close contact with us through the process. I can't say enough how much we appreciated her quick action, follow through and results. She was amazing."

"My family recently used Oasis Senior Advisors to help us find placement in a caring community for my dad. My mom passed away several years ago, and my siblings and I became the primary care providers for my father. As the years went on, his health continued to decline to the point we could no longer take care of him on our own. "A friend gave us a number for an Oasis advisor when we had a very dear family member hospitalized and we realized he was not going to be able to return to his home of 40 years and live alone. We gave her a call and she immediately set time up to talk to us and shared so much valuable information. She literally saved us, we didn’t know how to even start the process of finding an assisted living facility. She shared her knowledge on how the financing works, how medicaid works, etc. After the first meeting she sent us several facilities that could be a good fit for our loved one. "My Oasis Advisor, Sarah, was extremely helpful during the transition process for my mother from a straight Assisted Living Facility to one with Memory Care. I also had the issues from moving my mother, who has dementia, from her home state to my own so that I could keep a closer eye on her. There were some hurdles getting my mother out of her original facility, and Sarah helped me to navigate through this process. She also found a suitable Memory Care Facility much closer to my residence, that would better handle my mother's memory needs.
