I was born in Ohio and at age 7, left for the adventures of growing up overseas, with an Air Force family. After residing in Japan and Italy, we relocated back to the states. I returned to Cincinnati shortly thereafter, and it has remained "home" for most of my life. Traveling as a child allowed me a variety of cultural experiences. Traveling is still my greatest hobby and I have enjoyed passing along those experiences to my children.

In my early years, I took on some work through college at a Hospice unit and I absolutely loved working with families and hearing the amazing stories that seniors would share with me about their life experiences. After college, I spent 10 years working in Deaf Education and also in the community helping many elderly along the way to communicate effectively with legal matters, clinical visits, church services, and other interpreting needs.

As an Oasis Advisor, I spend every day helping families navigate very unchartered waters with their aging loved ones. Often, there are many layers of needs, and it is our job to help uncover all of those needs and come up with a solution. We not only advocate for the best solution for our clients, but also for their families who are often the caregivers.

Advocating for our seniors in our community is top of mind for me, daily. I co-chair the Butler and Warren Counties Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and I am very passionate about their cause. I also sit on the Board of Directors for a local nonprofit, Cincinnati Aging Resource Experts (CARE). I invest in my employees so that some of their work day can also be spent advocating and being involved in local programming with other organizations.

I sincerely enjoy people, and especially enjoy helping others! While this moment in time may feel overwhelming for your family, having my guidance and support can help ease a difficult and time-consuming process. I am committed to taking the same vested interest alongside your family to find the best fit possible for your loved one.

Cheryl Jeffers offers 31 years of experience in healthcare and has enjoyed working with seniors and families over the span of the last 10 years. She is a proud graduate of the College of Mount Saint Joseph. Cheryl has an extensive background as a Community Liaison in the health care network including home care, long term care and geriatric behavioral health which have given her a vast knowledge of the care needs that come with aging. Cheryl is dedicated to supporting the aging and families in discussing and navigating aging issues early and providing guidance in achieving the best quality of life.

Cheryl’s career has offered opportunities in direct care, program development, fundraising, and leadership within the local community. She has served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Professionals in Aging, served on the Advisory Board for the ALS Association, serves as a Certified Deme tia Practitioner, and is the Executive Director/Founder for a local non-profit group known as CARE: Cincinnati Aging Resource Experts. Through all these experiences, Cheryl has honed the ability to quickly assess the needs and desires for aging adults.

Cheryl became a caregiver for her mother alongside her family during her mom’s battle with ALS. She experienced being overwhelmed and feeling defeated during the journey of her mother’s illness. It was challenging to navigate the resources necessary to manage her mom’s wish to stay home. Cheryl has a strong desire to help families navigate the terrain of changes that happen through the journey of aging, to assure that they have the resources in place to overcome and manage the challenges. Having experienced this with her own mother, she is determined to make a difference for others as they work through the emotions and the process

Thank you for your interest in Oasis Senior Advisors. I am originally from St. Louis, MO and moved to Dayton, Ohio as a young girl. My mother was a Hospice social worker and my father a teacher, so the service industry is something I have always been genetically predisposed to. I came to Cincinnati to attend college. Upon earning my Masters Degree in Social Work, I went on to pursue a career in the field and made Cincinnati my home.

I have always felt drawn to helping others and making connections. A majority of my work life has been as a discharge planner and case manager. However, my most important job was being a caregiver to my medically-fragile son. This was certainly an incredibly rewarding experience, yet one of the loneliest times in my life. I don’t want any caregiver to feel like they don’t have an ally and someone who can support and advocate for their loved one. I am passionate about helping caregivers navigate the healthcare system and making those all important connections.

I understand that this is not an easy process. It is my truest honor to be able to assist families on their journey of finding the right facility and level of care. Please allow me to shoulder some of this responsibility and allow you to just focus on your loved one and yourself.
