Slow Cooker Cheese Fondue


2 1/2 C White Wine

3 Cloves Finely Minced Garlic

16 Oz. Gruyere Cheese, Grated

16 Oz. Swiss Cheese, Grated

3 T Flour

3 T Kirsch

1/4 t Ground Nutmeg

Crusty French Bread, Cubed


In a large saucepan, heat the wine and garlic to simmer. Combine the Gruyere and Swiss cheeses and flour in a large bowl and slowly add the mixture to the wine. Stir constantly until the cheeses are completely integrated and melted. Add the Kirsch and stir. Pour the saucepan contents into your slow cooker and sprinkle with nutmeg. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Thoroughly mix the fondue, replace cover, and cook on low for 2 hours. Serve with cubed French bread and a cold bottle of white wine!
